Configured to the GT500, that motor makes more than 700-horsepower and, by all reports, the same kind of output can and should be expected out of the Raptor R. A 700-horsepower truck that has been refined over the years to be one of the baddest off-road and action machines ever built? Yes please. That absolutely insane powerplant will be mated to the Raptor’s beloved ten-speed paddle shift transmission, giving the Raptor R a racier feel than ever before and one that will be frankly more fun to drive than any other high-performance truck available anywhere.
Keeping It Cool
Another exciting new addition is the truck’s all new heat extraction unit, which helps keep your motor cool while it pumps outthe dirty air through a note-perfect 3.0-inch exhaust system. Because a cool engine breathing clean air is a happy engine. And a happy engine is a fast engine. And a fast engine makes a happy driver.
Fun for the Whole Crew
The most immediately noticeable update to the new Raptor is its stretched out crew cab-style body, called the SuperCrew, which is an update from the smaller extended-cab style of model years past.
This means that you and your crew will have more space than ever before to stretch out and enjoy the adventure in more comfort than ever before. Or, if you’re rolling solo or as a duo, you’ll have more room in the back for the extra sets of dry, mud-free clothes, climbing, hiking, or boarding gear, or any other adventure accoutrement you can imagine.
