As the previous decade began, the automotive industry was experiencing record sales that continued through most of the decade. The desire to drive fast and have incredible acceleration was evident by the cars that became part of the models that were seen in the decade. Here are some of the fastest cars offered in the previous decade that we enjoyed.

2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Corvette shows back up as one of the fastest cars for the previous decade after being gone from the list for the 1990s. When you think of the performance qualities and incredible feelings you can get from the Nissan GT-R, this is the one that you think of.
