Is there anything new?

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne has some new stuff, including a GTS model that delivers 493 horsepower. This version of the Cayenne has the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as the Cayenne S but has a 25-horsepower boost to make it more powerful. The GTS model also adds some additional performance-enhancing features from the Turbo GT model. Some of these items are the water-cooled AWD system and some suspension components that are made to improve the steering response. This new GTS also comes standard with the Sport Desing package, giving it black exterior trim, dark bronze exhaust tips, and black wheels.

Cayenne power several ways

Starting at the base model, you’ll have a Cayenne SUV with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that generates 348 horsepower. Add an electric motor to the mix and you have the E-Hybrid model that increases power to 463 horsepower.

Moving up to the Cayenne S and you’ll have the aforementioned V8 engine that generates 468 horsepower. The GTS model takes things higher with its powertrain tuning. Above this you’ll find the S E-Hybrid model which uses the smaller engine and an electric motor to generate 512 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

Every Cayenne engine has an 8-speed automatic transmission and is set up with AWD. This helps send the power to the wheels, which are strong enough to allow the base Cayenne to reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, while the Cayenne S Coupe can do this sprint in 3.9 seconds.

Get comfortable in this Porsche

You don’t typically think of Porsche as the brand for comfort, but the 2025 Porsche Cayenne has comfortable seats and an impressive dashboard design to make it easy to drive this SUV every day. Porsche basically gives you a blank slate in the Cayenne for your personalization needs. This means you’ll choose everything from interior trim to seatbelt colors and surface materials that can be individually chosen. You could have heated and ventilated front and rear seats, and the Cayenne has desirable upgrades, including supportive front seats with massage and quad-zone climate controls.

Check out the dashboard tech

The front seat occupants see a dashboard covered with digital displays in this SUV. These screens stretch across the entire width of the dashboard. The center features a 12.3-inch touchscreen that operates wireless connectivity using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. There’s also a screen in front of the passenger that measures 10.9 inches and can be used to stream video content while remaining invisible from the driver’s vantage point. You’ll also see a 12.5-inch screen in front of the driver behind the steering wheel that’s configurable with the data and information you want to see and enjoy.

Electric driving from Porsche

The E-Hybrid model of the Cayenne comes with a 21.8-kWh battery pack that should allow this SUV to drive for up to 22 miles on electric power. The S E-Hybrid model might only return 20 miles of range on a full charge. The base Cayenne gives you up to 17 city/23 hwy mpg, which is great for an AWD performance-oriented SUV.

Will the 2025 Porsche Cayenne become the SUV you want to drive and enjoy every day? This sporty and fun luxury SUV can be worthy of your next test drive.
