There seems to be a BMW model that everyone can drive and enjoy. No matter your needs, with the exception of a minivan or pickup truck, BMW has a vehicle that fits what you’re looking for and makesit easy for you to have an active luxury model that can be great for you to head out on the road. We already know about some of the new models that are going to be offered in the near future to be the ones we’ll see, but that’ just the beginning of what BMW will add to the lineup.
The Los Angeles Auto Show gave us a look at the new i8 Roadster, and the plan is to launch the new 8 Series, M8, X7, and Z4 to fill out the rest of the lineup. With these five new offerings and everything that BMW already givesus, it seems like we have a vehicle that can be enjoyed for every single need we have for the drive. While we might feel this way, BMW is preparing to offer us even more of what we want for the drive when it’s time to get out on the road and have an amazing drive where we want to go.
What Does BMW Have in Mind?
If you take a look at the trademarks and patents that have been filed by BMW, you’ll see that every name between i1 and i9 along with iX1 and iX9 have been filed to give us the thought that BMW is going to offer us more electrified models in the near future. This is a big part of the plan with 25 new electrified models being introduced by 2025, twelve of which will be pure EV models. There will also be one EV Mini model offered atthis time as well. Although, the BMW team has stated they will bring us more EV and hybrid models for the future, the first area the team will look to build and add to the lineup is in the large SUV market. This means we may see an SUV larger than the X7 in the near future, which the team has already hinted is in the works and being developed right now. This is where BMW sees the most profit for the future to be able to reinvest in the EV models that will come to the market in the next few years.
Along with the large SUVs and plethora of electrified models, there will be some that are built based on the iVision Dynamic Concept to give us vehicles that are much closer to being autonomous for the drive. This car will make its way by 2021 with Level 3 autonomy and it will also carry the programming for future Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous driving once the legislation is approved. BMW is certainly on the cusp of being the future choice for luxury driving for everyone and has an amazing plan to continue to add to and build upon their current lineup.
