The newest sports car from Toyota that we still don’t know very much aboutis supposed to be the Supra and its one that we’ve anticipated for the past several months. Every time we see another one of the testing mules on the track we want to know more about what this amazing car will bring to the market so that we can have the desired drive and the qualities we want on the road. When this new Supra comes to the market, there’s a chance we won’t see the Supra name make its way to the US.
Why wouldn’t we see the Supra make its way to the US? The only reason this new sports car from Toyota won’t head to the US with the Supra name is if the name is something other than Supra when it arrives. Toyota has a long history of producing high-powered sports cars for the drive we want to have and the excitement that we can certainly experience when we head out on the tracks in our area to turn the fast lap that will make the weekends more fun and interesting. We will see this new sports car, but it just might not be with the Supra name.
Other Names Being Considered
While there should be no confusion about the fact that the Supra name will be the one that is the leading choice, Toyota could choose a few other names that also garner racing and performance attention. Among these is the 2000GT, Sports 800, and MR2. There has even been a joking possibility of a Camry Solara return, but that would be ridiculous. The new sports car is one that should certainly wear a name we can associate with tuning and sports car driving, which allows the Supra to continue to be the leading choice.
This new sports car, regardless of the name that will be chosen, is being developed alongside the new BMW model that will arrive as a partnership between these two brands. This means we should see an influence from this brand offered in the new Toyota modelthat gives us the drive that provides the fun and active driving we’re looking for. This is a car that will make the drive exciting when you want it to whether you’re out on the road or take your active ride to the track for the fun you’re looking for.
The other concern with the new Toyota sports car is when it will arrive. So far, the Toyota team hasn’t given us any indication of a date that would be when this car will arrive on the market. The only thing we’ve learned in this regard is the fact the car will offer us more and should show up at some of the shows over then 2018 show season to give us a much closer look of what we happen to want to enjoy for the drive. Until this time, we can continue to call this the new Supra that will wear the Toyota badge.
