When speed is mentioned the first thought is of the power plant under the hood, a low to the ground build, a serious spoiler that helps push the car down (creating downforce) exceptional air flow to keep everything cool along with tires and brakes that keep the car planted and help stop the beast when needed. Add to this the answer to wind resistance, aerodynamics, air funneling and cooling to help make the natural performance even greater.
At the 2014 Geneva Auto Show a car was unveiled that offered every bit of these features and much more. This car was built by the car designer Koenigsegg and is made to go extremely fast on the road offering the few who will be able to own this awesome car an experience they will not soon forget. The car in question is the Koenigsegg One:1 which shows up with a fairly unimaginative name, but one a design and build that is meant to blow away everything else on the show floor at the auto show.
The overall design and build of this amazing car, if you can still call it a car, it might be more like a small plane without wings, is made to blow away the top performers from all the exotic super car manufacturers. Offering a look and design that will easily show off its great features and leave absolutely no doubt this is a serious sports car the Koenigsegg One:1 is amazing to look at and might be even more fun to drive.
With a body that has a long and low hood and creases and bends that are only meant to offer great airflow and amazing aerodynamics this car looks like it should take off in flight at any minute. The huge rear spoiler helps to keep this car from taking flight by pushing it downward which makes it able to easily handle staying right where it needs to be, firmly planted on the road screaming down the track or leaving the autobahn behind.
Unfortunately at the unveiling there was not power plant to be spoken of. What is expected is one that offers a top speed that can actually reach 280 mph. This will allow the Koenigsegg One:1 to be a car that can really scream past all the others on the road. With materials for the build that include a ton of carbon fiber panels, titanium and aluminum throughout the different parts of the car that can utilize these materials. With the lighter materials aboard the car is more than capable, with the right power inside of reaching the speeds desired.
For a serious majority of the world the look of this car is all we will get to enjoy and be allowed to discuss the performance of this amazing vehicle. Only six of these mean road beasts will be built for sale making the asking price huge and highly limited. For those six lucky enough to purchase this awesome vehicle the driving experience will be one that is better than any ever experienced before in order to have a once in a lifetime drive every time they step inside the Koenigsegg One:1.
