Unveiling the Opulent 2024 Lexus LS: Luxury Simplified in Three Trims

The opulent and elegant 2024 Lexus LS makes buying a high-end luxury sedan much easier than you’d expect. With only three trims, you’ll enjoy the simplicity.

Instead of bringing an extensive list of a la carte items to the mix, like Porsche or BMW, Lexus simplified the car buying process with this full-size luxury sedan. The LS is only offered in three trims: LS 500, LS 500 F Sport, and LS 500h. The first two trims provide the choice of RWD and AWD, while the hybrid model comes standard with AWD. Could one of these luxury sedans be the right choice for you?

How much power does this Lexus sedan produce?

The lower LS 500 trims make use of a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which marries up with a ten-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain produces 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, which makes it easy to forget this car ever had a V8 engine under the hood. Fuel mileage figures are decent for a large sedan, coming in at 17 city/27 hwy mpg.

The hybrid LS500h uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine and two electric motors to produce 354 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This engine mates to a CVT, which helps improve fuel mileage in this big sedan to 22 city/29 hwy mpg.

The twin-turbo models are quicker, returning a 0-60 mph time of 5.0 seconds, while the hybrid version isn’t a slouch at 5.5 seconds to achieve highway speeds.

What do you get at each trim level?
