Before the refresh for the 2024 model year the Chevy TrailBlazer was one of the sharpest designed subcompact crossovers you could find, but with the updates for 2024, it’s more refined and grown-up looking than ever. With changes inside and out, the latest TrailBlazer will make a splash at Chevy dealers.
Refreshed Looks in The Front and Back
Chevy didn’t just update one end of the 2024 TrailBlazer; they paid attention to both ends, giving it some extra character. Up front, the TrailBlazer gets ultra-slim running lights on the upper section of the grille, while the headlights on the lower section have an oval shape. Combine these with the new grille and this little SUV has a bold, aggressive look. Around back, the rear lights also have an updated look with a more intricate design.
Each of the four trim levels has its own distinct look. The RS stands out with its black exterior trim, dual exhaust outlets in the back complete with chrome tips, and a mesh front grille. The Activ and RS both offer a two-tone roof, and the Activ has its own grille design along with trim elements to give it a more rugged look.
New Colors and New Wheels
All four trims have new wheel designs, and in addition to the new design, the RS also gains larger 19-inch wheels instead of the 18-inch wheels from the previous model year. Two new exterior paint colors join the lineup for 2024. You’ll now see Copper Harbor and Cacti Green when you spot the Chevy TrailBlazer on Chevy dealer lots this fall.
A Bolder Look in the Cabin
The changes are limited to the outside of the TrailBlazer. When you sit down in this small SUV, you’ll be greeted by a larger 8-inch digital gauge cluster in front of the driver’s seat and a significantly larger touchscreen in the center of the dashboard that now stretches to 11 inches on the diagonal. This updated infotainment screen comes standard in all trim levels, an upgrade from the previous seven or eight-inch screens. The new touchscreen comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can quickly connect your phone and have all your apps and contacts within easy reach.
Under the Hood of the Chevy TrailBlazer
You’ll find a familiar engine lineup under the 2024 TrailBlazer’s hood. The standard 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder develops 137 horsepower and works with a CVT and comes with front-wheel drive. If you want extra power, the available upgrade is a spunky 1.3-liter three-cylinder turbo with 155 horsepower that works with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This engine offers all-wheel drive as an option, making it the better choice if you drive in areas where the winters bring snow and ice.
The new refined 2024 TrailBlazer should hit Chevy dealer lots sometime in the fall. It’s the perfect subcompact crossover SUV for commuting, with some fun for drivers when they get behind the wheel.
