The new Ford Super Duty trucks are coming soon, and you’ll get the first chance to see them at your local Ford dealer. As recently revealed, the 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks have been redesigned with updated styling for both the exterior and interior. The updates also include new and improved powertrains. The 6.8-liter gas V8 now becomes the standard engine, and the Power Stroke diesel has also been enhanced.
Ford Super Duty 2023 Redesign Brings Much To the Table
There’s a lot to like about the 2023 redesign of the Ford Super Duty. The redesign brings fresh styling, new technology, and some powertrain upgrades. New tech now includes trailering assist features, a heads-up display, an onboard generator, and 5G wireless access.
There are plenty of visual updates to the new Ford Super Duty trucks as well. Seven different grille designs are available and can be chosen based on trim levels and appearance packages. The biggest visual change is the C-shaped lighting on the truck and available LED headlights. The new design packages offer buyers a wide range of options to customize with trim, rim, and paint color combinations.
Another new 2023 option is the XL Off-Road Package, which adds 33-inch all-terrain tires, an electronic locking rear differential, and much more.
Dressed-Up Interior
Quite a few creature comforts have been made available or upgraded for the new Super Duty. Starting on the XL trim, an 8-inch touchscreen is standard, and higher trim levels get a 12-inch screen.
Music lovers can stick with the eight-speaker sound system or upgrade to a more powerful 18-speaker system. Other great interior features include a wireless charging pad, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and a center console slot for holding a table. The optional Max Recline Seats can fold nearly flat to make road trips in this truck even easier.
As previously mentioned, a lot of new tech has been added as well. This includes a 5G wireless connection, several new driver-assist features, and an onboard generator.
Updated Powertrains
The new 2023 Super Duty will feature a 6.8-liter V8 gas engine as standard. All available engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The other engines have been enhanced in various ways. For example, the 7.3-liter V8 gets revised tuning and a better air intake. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 is a staple in the engine lineup, and it will get a high-output revision with upgraded tuning, a better turbocharger, and updated exhaust manifolds. Ford believes the Power Stroke enhancements will make it the most powerful diesel engine in its class. Another new feature for 2023 is that all models from the XLT up will come standard with 4WD.
One of the main purposes of the Ford Super Duty is to tow. The new 2023 trucks will feature high-tech driver assistance features to make this even easier. Onboard scales allow you to see your estimated cargo weight to avoid exceeding the truck’s payload. Another handy feature is the 360-degree camera system with a blindspot monitor made specifically for trailers.
Your local Ford dealer is a great place to check out the new 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks when they hit the market.
