The New BMW X7 Will Be Aggressive

05.01.16 - 2016 BMW 7-Series

At the top of any lineup, especially those of the luxury brand names, care must be given to have the right style and attitude in a vehicle. If a car is to be a luxury cruiser that can carry the owner in the rear seat from one place to another in posh style, but it also must have the features desired for comfort and performance. The secret is many of the owners of these top models don’t want to be driven around and only do so when entertaining clients or absolutely necessary. What they do want is a vehicle they can enjoy driving when they don’t need to spend time focused on their work but also have one that can be the impressive item for their guests to see as well.

The BMW X7 is expected to fill both of these needs extremely well. It’s to be a comfortable and luxurious riding SUV that will show off your success to any client or business associate while also giving you the performance you desire when the weekend comes and it’s time to handle things on your own. This SUV could be the right one for you to enjoy showing off for your friends and at the price range it will sit at it probably won’t be a vehicle you take off roading, but it could do the job if needed.

Because it’s a BMW the X7 is expected to be athletic and aggressive on the road. The plan is to build it in South Carolina (another nod to how small the globe has become) and use the same platform as the 7-Series sedan. There will be carbon fiber reinforced plastic; aluminum and magnesium used in the vehicle build to make it as lightweight as possible. This light weight will allow the vehicle to offer the BMW performance we recognize and it will have a cabin that is worthy of royalty for you to enjoy.

Overall the look should be that of a larger X5, which is currently the top model in the lineup. Under the hood we will likely see a range of engines including a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder model, a 4.4-liter V8 and a 6.0-liter V12. Because of the BMW development into hybrid vehicles it’s likely we could see a plug-in hybrid version of the X7, but that will certainly depend upon the range the vehicle has to offer.

The X7 is expected to be on the market in 2018 and we should see a production version of the vehicle make the show tour in 2017. Is this going to be the new SUV for you and your family to make use of? If you shop in the six figure price range it certainly could be. The X7 will be a vehicle that completes the lineup of SUVs for BMW and gives us what we haven’t had from this company in a while; a large luxury SUV to rival those already on the market with the athleticism BMW is known for.
