When you see a world class athlete perform you often feel you are witnessing artistry in motion, which is exactly what you are seeing.  In the automotive world the BMW brand has been known for creating the most athletic vehicles on the market for years and when the top of the class, the 7 Series receives and upgrade us are allowed to see a brand new player in the game for all of us to admire and enjoy the performance.  The 7 Series offers a great lineup and a fantastic luxury menu to show a car that can be much better than ever before.

What makes the BMW lineup the most athletic?  It’s the pairing of handling and power together with the right balance to let you drive aggressive through any turns and curves on the road and on the track.  If you choose the 7 Series not only are you going to enjoy one of the best luxury sports cars on the road but you will want to enjoy some track time where you can show off the precision performance of your new ride.  For 2016 the 7 Series has been remade inside and out to give us a fresh upgrade with lots of carbon-fiber and a lower weight to give us more fun from behind the wheel.

The BMW 7 Series shows off as a nimble car that rides much better than the size of the car.  The ride is comfortable and makes use of the air suspension that comes from adjustable dampers the different drive modes you can choose from.  These modes are Comfort, Comfort + and Sport in order to let you have the ride you want and the driving performance you ca enjoy.  This, along with an ultra-quiet cabin, gives you the feeling of pure sport luxury that you will want from this flagship sedan.

When you take a look at the new 7 Series under the hood you will find two great powertrains to start with.  The first engine is a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine in the 740i that gives you a full 320 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque.  This is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with allows this powertrain to be smooth and give you fuel mileage of 21 city/29 hwy mpg to be a fantastic performer for this amazing car.

The second engine you will encounter, on the 750i xDrive, is the 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine that shows up with 445 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque.  Using the same transmission, this engine will give you fuel numbers that are 16 city/25 hwy mpg.  Initially the 7 Series will not have the Alpine B7 model or a V12 in the lineup.  There will be room for these two to enter the lineup later in the 2016 calendar year, but these two powertrains are fantastic to enjoy as a great start for this car that will give you some of the best driving you can ever experience.

When you step inside the car you will be met with elegant wood veneer, aluminum trim and chrome accents that accentuate the leather of the seating.  This look is exquisite and comfortable from every seat and passengers can be amazed by the two section panoramic sunroof while you take advantage of every possible driving aid you can imagine.  There is even a trim level that will give you fold out foot rests in the rear seats which give space galore for your passengers to really admire the beautiful car you have chosen for your high class driving machine.

On the outside the 7 Series is everything you should expect.  This car is long and luxurious with a great feel and classy appearance.  The chrome accents in the frame of the windows and grill along with the chrome exhaust ports the car is amazing to behold.  To keep with the athletic feel the car is low with great angles to enjoy and the overall look of a car that is ready to go.  Whether you appreciate the dual kidney shaped grill of a BMW or you enjoy the awesome wheels the new 7 Series certainly has a look you are going to love and admire.

When it comes to standard features, this flagship sedan had plenty of them.  The base, 740i, comes with a ten way power driver’s seat, a 600-watt Harman/Kardon sound system, heated leather seats, a rearview camera, iDrive 5.0 with a touch pad, a 10.2-ich touch screen and eight programmable memory buttons, navigation, keyless entry and starting, a power trunklid, soft close doors, a panoramic moonroof, quad zone climate control, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, rain sensing windshield wipers, park distance control, wireless charging, a head up display, and a full suite of safety features that make for a great menu of features to fully enjoy.

When it comes to optional features the 7 Series offers night vision, 3D surround-view cameras, rear cross traffic warnings, lane departure warnings and assist, frontal collision and pedestrian warning, blind spot detection and cruise control with stop and go function, an automatic parking function that can park the car in any kind of spaces along with an autonomous braking feature.  Other optional features including the Bowers & Wilkens Diamond surround sound system with a ten channel amp and 1,400 watts that is pushed through sixteen speakers.  There is also an optional Panoramic Sky Lounge roof that uses LED module to give a sky effect of the starry night, something you won’t see on any other car.

With only two models to choose from right now the pricing is much easier that on other models that have several different trims.  The basic 740i starts out at $81,330 while the upgraded 750i xDrive comes in at $97,400.  At either price point you have one of the most amazing cars to drive and enjoy on the road and on the track to give you the drive that shows off your success along with letting you have an awesome vehicle to drive.
