The BMW i8 seems to be that model for the high-end German automaker that has challenged the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Audi and other luxury car makers for generations.

Maybe not as pricy as the Porsche 918 Spyder the BMW i8 shows off its hybrid engine with an excellent performance and clothed in a vehicle that offers excitement at the quickest glance.
To start with the i8 is built very low to the ground as a sports car should and offers gull and scissor opening doors that are lightweight and easy to open and close as a result of the spring/damper system on the strut that takes care of most of the work with the doors. The three long stroke cylinders carry the power in a huge way and respond immediately to any throttle push from the driver. Attached as part of the powertrain is a six speed automatic transmission that gives smooth and easy shifting to allow the car to get through the gears quickly and expertly.
This amazing car can make 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a seriously quick quarter mile time of 12.4 seconds making this one of the fastest accelerating sports cars on the market. This car can really take you on a ride as it tops out at 155 mph (not recommended on public roads) and offers some of the most dynamic handling that can be found in the entire BMW lineup.
As a gorgeous looking and top performing sports car the BMW i8 can be had for $136,625, a meager price compared to the Porsche 918 Spyder and less than several other high-end sports cars.
